Omar is currently a 2nd year medical student at Tulane University School of Medicine, in New Orleans, LA, in the class of 2027. He is also apart of the DeBakey Scholars Program conducting research under the direction of Dr. Tony Hu.

Subsequently, he received his master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Tulane University and defended his thesis entitled "Defining Input Tumor Cell Phenotypes for Microphysiological Systems of Cancer" in May 2023.

He received his bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering at Tulane University in May 2022.

Omar attended Brother Martin High School in New Orleans and graduated with an Honor's Diploma in May 2018.
